Grooming Report for Feb 5, 2021

Another up and down week of grooming as we have had warm temperatures early in the week, cold temperatures Wednesday and Thursday, and back to rain Friday morning and 34 degrees on the mountain.

We did groom Wednesday and Thursday to Morning Creek Snow Park twice, up through Spout Springs, Woodland, Andies Prairie, to Ruckle and back, and Gordon Creek Loop.  We also groomed to Bone Springs and built a pad for the kids ride day,  back on both sides of Jubilee Rd, Skyline Rd, Elk Trail, Powerline trail, to the store and back.  Also this week I did get the Chalet/Shumway loop groomed what I could as conditions were not very good, still hard and no new snow with down to less than a foot in places in the McDougal area.  I won’t be going down there until we get some new snow on top of the hard snow.  I did what I could to knock the bumps down.  The snow on the Corwin corner is pretty much gone, so I won’t be able to build more road on the edge of the highway until we get more snow.

It looks like it will be cooling off this week-end into next week with some new snow in the forecast, but not a lot, maybe 6-8 inches in the next 2 days.

We had some trouble with the 08 snowcat this week as a track tensioner is not holding the track tight.  Hopefully we have that fixed for now so we can keep running. We also serviced the 08 snow cat this week and checked it over.

Think snow!!!
