On the mountain yesterday to check conditions and the shed. It was 43 degrees and the snow was wet and slushy on top. The snow pole now shows just under 3 feet, so we have lost about a foot of snow in the last week. Today there is a 2 to 3 inches of new snow but the temp is just above freezing. The forecast shows more new snow and rain mix coming in the next few days and mid to High 30s for temps. Looks like spring is coming faster than we would like. As I was parking a gray Toyota pickup came out on the highway from the 2 story cabin across from the lake and drove down to 64rd and out our trail towards Jubilee. I didn’t get a plate number, but he sure made some ruts. It’s not legal to be on the trails till April 1.
