Grooming Report for March 18, 2022

The week we have not done any grooming due to the large amount of rain, about an inch, that has fallen on the mountain.  We did get a 1/2-1 inch of new snow the last couple of days, but we have had warm temperatures still up into the low 40’s.  We did get the 20 Snowcat repaired, it had 4 broken cleats, so it is ready to go if we do get cooler weather.  The forecast does not look good for the next 7 days with rain tomorrow, and then a mix of snow and rain through Monday.  Temperatures are forecast to be in the 40’s up into the low 50’s.  Spring starts Sunday, the weather is changing to spring type weather.  I rode the trails yesterday, they are in good shape with choppy bumps in places but not deep moguls. The snow today was wet, corn style snow with about an inch of new on top, 42 degrees. I don’t know if we will be able to do any more grooming this month, it doesn’t look favorable.
