Grooming Report for March 12, 2021

This week we groomed early in the morning, getting up at 3 a.m. when it was really cold in the upper teens/low 20’s, we could groom until about 10 a.m. before it warmed up as temperatures started to get above freezing about 9.  We did get the main trails done:  to Bone Springs, on Jubilee Rd, Skyline, Powerline Trail, Elk Trail, McIntyre loop, 3719 Coyote loop, Chalet/Shumway loop, Balloon Tree loop, Gordon Creek loop, out to 31 Rd, out and back through Spout, Pole Trail, in and out of all snowparks.  Conditions are very spring-like now, beware of tree wells.  We will do what we can as temperatures are expected to stay warm, possible rain or rain/snow mix the first part of this coming week.  Temperatures are expected to be mid 30’s -low 40’s in the middle of the day, if the nights stay cold we can still groom in the wee hours.

Thanks,

Jess Thompson TTF grooming chairman
