We were up on the mountain Thursday this week for our driver training from Tucker SnowCat, 5 of the 6 drivers were able to attend. It is a little different than the 08 and has computer controls that have to be worked through computer screens. We groomed out to the top of Baldy and back a few times. The snow was wet, and the temperature was 35 degrees. It didn’t groom very well because it was very sticky, but we got our training in. As you know, it has snowed about 5 inches, but now is warm, 35-37 degrees with rain. It is supposed to stay that way through the week-end until Monday. We need snow and cold weather as there is only a foot of snow at the groomer shed. Main roads are pretty smooth, due to the lack of snow to mogul.
I have distributed the new maps out to all the advertisers this week in Tri-Cities, Walla Walla, Hermiston, Pendleton, Milton-Freewater, Athena-Weston, Chamber of Commerce and Forest Service Offices, and on the mountain, including the clubhouse. I will get maps out to the dealer in Lexington tomorrow. As usual, there is a mistake even with our best efforts. Wagner Landscaping phone number prefix is wrong. The phone number should be 509-525-8913. It was a typographical error by the printer who typed a 4 when it should have been a 5. Everything else looks really good.
