Feb 11, 2022, Grooming Report

This week we have not groomed due to warm temperatures, a little rain mid-week, and not getting cold even at night.  I was up and inspected trails with my snowmobile this week, rode 45 miles and the trails are mostly good except the high traffic areas close to the highway.  I was hoping to get those areas groomed in the wee hours of the morning when it was cold, but we have not had the weather to do that.   The trail towards the Chalet will have to have new snow to groom, as by Corwin’s the trail is pretty much gone as they have cleaned snow around their mailbox in such a way the snow is gone.  Below there in what most people call the Enchanted Forest on Krahlmans, we are on bare ground as well as his driveway is bare.  The snowcat would just tear his driveway up, and we don’t want to do that. There is no snow in the forecast until Monday night or Tuesday, but it could be rain/snow mix as the temperatures are not cold.

We are on standby until we get winter to return, or cold temperatures at night so we can be grooming in the early morning hours.  Even then, without new snow, the trails won’t be great.  We really need new snow.

Have a good Superbowl Sunday.
