Summer Groomer Update

Snocats

We have serviced both the 20 and 08 cats. Fluid samples on all boxes and engine. Changed oil on both Snocats engines and also the front, back, diffs and Transfer case on the 08. Cleaned both cats inside and out including wax the exteriors. Replaced 6 cleats on the tracks of the 08. Also replaced the hinge bracket on the Idaho pulled by the 20 cat. Spent 744 dallars on the 20 cat and 2344 on the 08. Worked 40 hours labor, 40.5 hours driving, 650 miles up and down the mountain.

Fuel

Filled the tanks early this year in June to save money. Cost this year up, 9300 dallars total. Thanks to OSSA for sending us money early.

DEF

Put in a 275 gallon shuttle, pump, and heat blanket for the new snocat as it uses DEF fluid. Made room in center section of shed and wired power to it. Cost 4000 dallars total, again thanks to OSSA.

New Snocat

It came in late September and is ready to go grooming with all are gear loaded in it out of the 08. The 08 was sold to Wilson Equipment of Medford who hauled the new cat to us and the 08 back to Medford. The Tiller cat will be slower as the Tiller needs to process the snow and average speed when grooming will be 4 miles per hour verses 5 to 7 pulling the drags.

Isaacson property

The power line trail will not be groomed from now on as the property owner won’t allow access.
